Following on from prominent dance anthems earlier this year, Niko The Kid makes his debut on Tiesto’s esteemed underground imprint AFTR:HRS alongside vocalist Anna Dellaria for Where Is The Love – out now!
Where Is The Love’s thumping four to the floor beat underpins Anna Dellaria’s enchanting vocal cut transforming Niko The Kid’s production into a contemporary club ready melody whilst hefty synth patterns draw inspiration from the early house era. The producer tells us how Where Is The Love came to be:
“I’ve always been a huge fan of UK house, especially those massive pianos so naturally the sounds I used were heavily inspired by that. I took a trip to London last year and started writing with Lauren Faith who’s written for Craig David and other UK artists. The original idea was to craft something reminiscent of late 90’s/ early 00’s house tunes with those powerful, soulful diva vocals. I reached out to Anna Dellaria, who has one of the strongest voices I’ve ever heard and the rest of the record fell into place.”
Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, Niko The Kid naturally developed a love for hip-hop and RnB. With his impeccable production skills, he found himself producing ATL beats for the likes of Akon, Young Thug and Gucci Mane. Having worked with artists to perfect their vision, it was time for Niko The Kid to follow his own passion to produce house influenced tunes that soon received remarkable recognition. Collaboration tune Pinata with Throttle amassed over one million plays while more recently, he released on Dim Mak and Tantrum Records earlier this year. Other impressive accolades include, providing official remixes for the likes of Miley Cyrus and Tinashe, whilst receiving support from the likes of Oliver Heldens, Steve Aoki, Laidback Luke and Armin van Buuren with his diverse sets reaching fans across the globe.
