Buy/Stream: Dezza Feat. EMME – Getaway
Canadian DJ/producer Dezza effortlessly blends Progressive House, Trance and House to create an original, forward thinking sound that has earned him over 20 million streams. His music takes inspiration from his surroundings as a Nova Scotian. A stunning maritime province on the East Coast of Canada, the bright colors of the coves, the ever-mutating climate and impressive landscapes of the region live within Dezza’s music. Off the back of impressive singles and his debut album, he has toured globally and was the #1 most supported Canadian DJ on 1001Tracklists’ Top Producers list last year. He has also been featured on the cover of DJ Mag Canada and guested on a variety of radio shows including Armin Van Buuren’s ‘A State Of Trance’ and Above & Beyond’s ‘Group Therapy.’
2018 was Dezza’s breakout year which saw releases on a variety of well-respected Dance labels including Spinnin’ Records, Enhanced Music and Anjunabeats. This was followed by standout singles like “Cold Outside” with Julian Gray, which saw spins on Diplo’s Revolution channel on Sirius XM in the U.S. 2019 was the biggest year yet for Dezza, with the release of his debut album Cosmos – “a milestone not only for Dezza as a producer, but for the progressive scene as a whole” (Nocturnal Times) which reached #9 on the US iTunes dance chart, a worldwide tour, and the launching of the inaugural ‘Colorscapes’ compilation series with label-mate Matt Fax. Additional highlights from the year included Canadian iHeartRadio featuring Dezza as part of their ‘We Out There’ program highlighting local talent and his standout album track “Honey” being featured in Episode 1 of iconic British TV show ‘Love Island’.
Dezza continues to ignite the progressive world in 2020, having already released two singles from his forthcoming album, “Carry Me” featuring Mike Schmid and “Tilt Shift.” The album’s third single, “Getaway” featuring the vocal talents of LA-based singer/songwriter EMME, is a driving progressive house production with an emotive core that builds up around luscious pads, punchy percussion, saturated bass and bouncy pianos. EMME’s gorgeous melodies will seep into your brain and Dezza’s always first-rate production shines on a track that has us hyped for what’s to come from the Canadian producer’s forthcoming second album.
