Brasstracks have today released a new project, For Those Who Know Part II, the second and final part of the For Those Who Know EP series. The new project features Robert Glasper, Xavier Omär, Thirdstory, S’natra and vocal support from Abbey “YEBBA” Smith” on the opening track. This is the third full length project that Brasstracks have released thus far in their young career, following up 2017’s For Those Who Know Part I and 2016’s Good Love. Prefaced by two singles, Stay There feat. Xavier Omär & Too Far Too Fast feat. Thirdstory, the full EP is available in full today across all platforms.
“The creation of For Those Who Know was about a 15 month long process between both parts. We’ve been having fun with it – experimenting with new sounds, bringing in new people, figuring out a way to feel comfortable in our own skin while pushing our own boundaries, and of course trying to listen for what our fans want to hear from us.” – says Ivan & Conor of the EP
Similar to Part I, For Those Who Know Part II explores Brasstracks’ newfound sound; more of a funked up R&B/soul direction rooted in hip-hop. The 5-track EP features a lot more original vocals than their earlier dance-centric work, but is still anchored by Brasstracks’ hallmark horn-infused sound featuring nearly all live percussion.
“Part II is a musical celebration of what’s happened in our lives in the past couple years, and a declaration of how excited we are for what’s to come. It sounds better on a sunny day. It’s dedicated to those who have stuck with us along the way. This is For Those Who Know – we sincerely hope you enjoy this project as we close this chapter, and move on to the next.”

Brasstracks are celebrating the release of For Those Who Know Part II with a seven-city tour across the west coast. Aptly named the For Those Who Missed It tour, Ivan and Conor will be hitting several cities that they missed on the 18-city For Those Who Know tour, earlier this year. That tour was Brasstracks first ever headlining tour, in which they sold out venues from coast to coast, including The Bowery Ballroom in New York City and The Roxy in LA, capped off with a sunset set at Coachella.
