Buy/Stream: Vincent & Naderi – Wasted Time
If you haven’t heard of Naderi, you have definitely heard his music. Starting out as one of the pioneers of the Australian bass scene, his groundbreaking work alongside Flume, Alison Wonderland and What So Not paired with his remixes trailblazed the rise of Future Bass & Trap and helped pave the way for Australian artists to come to the forefront of electronic music.
Naderi has transitioned from his work behind the scenes to leaving his own mark as an artist with a series of critically acclaimed remixes for artists from Skrillex, Zhu, The Killers, Flume, Diplo and more which have seen him gain over 20,000,000 streams across platforms and a #1 on HYPE Machine. 2018 and 2019 saw Naderi start putting out original works and productions along with working on some of the biggest electronic musicians in the world, from his co-production on Trippie Redd and Alison Wonderland’s “High” (11,000,000+ streams), to his debut single “Too Much Smoke” (1 million+ streams). He’s caught the attention of some of the leading names in the USA including Skrillex, who asked Naderi to help with his remix for fellow Aussie legends Pendulum, and Marshmello and Jauz who both asked Naderi to help put his touch on their albums.
His prior work as an engineer has seen him work on Flume’s Grammy award-winning SKIN album, Marshmello’s Joytime III (#1 on Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums Chart) and Alison Wonderland’s groundbreaking AWAKE album (#1 on iTunes’ Electronic Album chart).
Hailing from Canada, 24-year-old Robert Hughes aka Vincent is one of the strongest forces in the world of genre-defiant, boundary-pushing electronic artists. Fusing sounds across trap, future bass and unique styles in between, Vincent is perpetually setting the trends in his space. Originally gaining momentum for his remixes of Alison Wonderland’s “U Don’t Know” and The Chainsmokers’ “Paris,” it’s also Vincent’s original work that distinguishes the producer’s appeal – burgeoning from the day one trap fans all the way up to new listeners. In 2019 he released his debut EP, For You, which coincided with a 30+ date world tour. Primed to take the future by storm, armed with the talent and avant-garde approach to music that fans of today and tomorrow yearn for, Vincent is reinventing the electronic artist.
