Wilkinson and Sub Focus have unveiled the official video for their stunning new collaborative release ‘Take It Up’, featuring the talents of the world’s best known BASE jumper and wingsuit pilot, Jeb Corliss.
Following both artist’s recent headline performances at the iconic Brixton Academy, the track has proved a huge hit throughout the drum & bass community since its release in March.
The spectacular video sees a wistful Jeb take on the role of lead character, looking back through some of his most courageous stunts across a wide spread of breath-taking worldwide landscapes, following his recent appearance at half-time in the Superbowl.
Speaking on the collaboration, Wilkinson states: “I’ve always been a fan of Nick’s (Sub Focus) work. From his early records up until today. So it’s a pleasure to finally collaborate after all these years of spending time on the road and bumping into each other at festivals. We actually started writing this record together randomly on a 24 hour flight back from New Zealand, after playing a NYE show. Then when we got home in January we jumped in the studio and finished it. We had to call it ‘Take It Up’ after that! Kinda mad really.”Both acts can count millions of sales, sold out tours and countless classics within their respective catalogues and have cemented themselves as festival headliners and long term residents at Ibiza’s iconic Amnesia.Unlike other musical genres where collaborations are a weekly occurrence, this is the first time two of the drum and bass scenes leading ‘headliners’ have ever collaborated, and it’s a monster. Both acts can count millions of sales, sold out tours and countless classics within their respective catalogues and have cemented themselves as festivals headliners and long time residents at Ibiza’s iconic Amnesia.
