TroyBoi Unleashes Moody Black & White Video For ‘Say Yeah’
Fresh off his recent US V!BEZ Tour, which included sold-out shows across Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Denver, and more, multifaceted UK producer TroyBoi has delivered the official video for his anthemic track “Say Yeah”, the second single from his V!BEZ, Vol. 2 EP.
The slick black and white visuals show a group of four women unapologetically reveling in flashy cars and bundles of money. As they cruise around counting their cash, TroyBoi delivers a smooth performance to the camera with his groovy, pitched-down vocal hooks.
The video is directed by Grizz Lee, who has previously worked with Nicki Minaj and Major Lazer. “We have known each other for a number of years,” says TroyBoi. “When the opportunity to work with each other for this project came, we were both hyped. I let him listen to the track and gave him the wheel. His direction is his art.”
Released via Diplo’s Mad Decent imprint, V!BEZ, Vol. 2 is a genre-bending 7-track display of TroyBoi’s dynamic production work, fusing elements of electronic, hip hop, trap, and R&B. Following his highly acclaimed track “MyBoi”, a trap-influenced rework of Billie Eilish’s “my boy”, TroyBoi continues to showcase his ever-evolving sound, which he aptly refers to as ‘My Style’.
The video wraps up a monumental 2018 for TroyBoi, who also released his V!BEZ EP, the predecessor to Vol. 2, earlier this year. Topped with a massive festival run including a first-time Coachella performance, as well as unforgettable sets at Lollapalooza, EDC, Electric Zoo, and Voodoo Fest, to name a few, TroyBoi has cemented himself as a force to be reckoned with in the dance music world.
The official video for “Say Yeah” is out now, with V!BEZ, Vol. 2 available worldwide on all streaming platforms.
