Peking Duk & AlunaGeorge Collaborate On ‘Fake Magic’
Australian duo Peking Duk have joined forces with renowned vocalist Aluna Francis of the prominent UK duo AlunaGeorge for their brand new single, “Fake Magic,” out now via RCA Records.
Additionally, The music video for “Fake Magic” premiered yesterday on Billboard, calling “Peking Duk’s collaboration with AlunaGeorge is the kind of spell that can turn a frog into a dance floor diva”.
The track features an intoxicating vocal performance by Francis, cementing it as the summer anthem of our time. With a heavy funk-infused bassline and a swinging drum rhythm that’s not too fast nor too slow, “Fake Magic” will surely be bumping worldwide for many summers to come. Aluna describes the concept behind the track saying, “We spoke about the idea of a woman coming into a man’s life and showing him the real magic in this world, an alternative world that is not weighed down by fake highs and material disappointment. I loved this idea.
