Danish Trio Nonsens Releases New Single ‘MUERTE’ Mad Decent’s Good Enuff
Just in time for Halloween, Danish trio Nonsens unleashes the sinister new offering “MUERTE” via Mad Decent’s Good Enuff. Spookily out on October 31, the track’s haunting Spanish vocal rumbles over bass-heavy production before thumping bass leads to a spine-chilling drop. Capturing the trio’s quintessential high-energy sound, “MUERTE” shocks with high-voltage energy and growling synths.
Anton, Jens and Rasmus of Nonsens first gained notoriety in 2012, when Jay Z took a liking to their remix of M.I.A’s “BAD GIRLS” and subsequently released the track on his label Roc Nation. In 2014, Nonsens sparked Diplo’s interest with their remix of M Ø’s “XXX 88” featuring the Mad Decent label-head himself.
Nonsens’ “XXX 88” remix was released on the their debut album APOLLO and began a lengthy relationship with Mad Decent. The trio has seen numerous releases out on the label and on its sub-label Good Enuff, including standout tracks “BASS PLAY,”
“GOTTA,” and “GUNGLA.” The latter was released both as an original and as a Christmas remix on Mad Decent’s A VERY DECENT CHRISTMAS album in 2016, later peaking at #13 on the Billboard Dance Chart.
2017 has been nothing short of explosive for the trio, who co-produced the fourth track “JUMP” feat. Busy Signal on Major Lazer’s recent KNOW NO BETTER EP. Nonsens also recently co-produced RL Grime’s new single “Era,” and unleashed a new official remix of Boombox Cartel’s “DEM FRAID” feat. Taranchyla. The trio is ready to ring in Day of the Dead with “MUERTE.”
