Luna Aura Drops New Single ‘Sucker Punch’ + ‘Walk Away’ with 3LAU
Electro-pop songstress Luna Aura reaches farther into genre-bending territory with her latest single, “Sucker Punch.” The visceral, rhythmic and biting track premiered exclusively via Blackbook Magazine and was released along with 3LAU’s “Walk Away”, which borrows the LA artist’s ethereal vocals.
Luna brings a fresh dynamic to 3LAU’s inspiring “Walk Away” and plays up her natural likeness for synth and electronic elements. The track has garnered considerable Spotify support, including New Music Friday, Friday Crate Diggers and more. All proceeds on the single will be donated to Equality Now, a non-profit organization committed to protecting the rights of women and girls all round the world.
Crash-landing into her home base of Los Angeles, Luna Aura is a self-proclaimed alien pop star for her abilities to break Top 40 boundaries with out-of-the-box messages on individuality, sexuality, youth and more. It’s the unique blend of pop sensibilities and confident delivery that’s earned Luna praise from NYLON, The 405, GQ, Idolator, Galore, LADYGUNN, Popdust and premier opening slots for other leaders in music: The Killers, K.Flay, Chance the Rapper, P!nk, Odesza, Major Lazer, Steve Aoki, Kid Cudi, Run the Jewels, Muse and more.
Luna’s has seen great success on the festival circuit, playing KAABOO, Lost Lake, Global Dance Festival, So What Music Fest, EMERGE and many others. Along the way, she snagged titles as a Taco Bell “Feed the Beat” artist and BMI Indie Spotlight.
With songs like “Sucker Punch,” which she says is “very emotional and somewhere I’ve never been before as an artist,” every one of Luna Aura’s cards is on the table. She’s aware that there’s still growing to do, but she’s radically self-aware now, making note of the cracks in her character and filling them with gold. There’s no hiding behind a curtain; if anything, she hopes that her newest work will resonate with those listeners going through the same trials.
