Australian super producer Just A Gent finally reveals his hotly anticipated new EP titled http://EP. A culmination of the young beatmaker’s electric work over the course of the past year, http://EP is an epic body of work of immersive tracks that traverse everything from trap and EDM to hip-hop and electronica. Accompanied by a slew of brilliant vocalists, http://EP is an EP as much for the dancefloor as it is for the everyday and is poised to win the gifted producer new admirers across the board.

Here’s what Just A Gent had to say about the concept behind the EP:

“I was super inspired by the concept of people merging with machines/the internet and made a lot of these beats with that Industrial Futuristic theme in mind. The concept is that this EP is the conglomeration of the favourite tracks of 5 human/androids and what they were listening to when the world fell apart”- Just A Gent

After teaching himself how to produce while still in primary school, it wasn’t long until Just A Gent started drawing in the attention of music industry personnel throughout Australia and beyond. Aged just 16, he won a triple J unearthed competition which fast-tracked the young Aussie producer onto the road of success.

Remixes for Alison Wonderland and ZHU, as well as stand out singles supported by Skrillex helped him rack up millions of online streams and sell out shows around the country all before he was legally allowed to set foot in a club. Recent remixes for Chance the Rapper, a confirmed FOMO 2019 appearance, and 25 million online streams to date have cemented Just A Gent as one of the artists of the moment.

Matching up to the scope of previous EP Stories To Tell – a release which dominated triple J and rocketed to number one on Hype Machine, http://EP offers a glimpse into the brilliant mind of 21-year-old Just A Gent. New and unheard tracks like Drowning (feat. Yvng Jalepeno) and Injustice (feat. Dia Lone) are loaded with soulful song writing, nuanced sound design, epic drops, and explosive drum programming, all the while showcasing the freshest collaborators around. Already established favourites like Space Odyssey (feat. Thandi Phoenix) and VIBE (feat. T$oko) fit perfectly within http://EP for what is a mesmerising listen from Just A Gent that pushes the boundaries of electronic music.

Idiosyncratic EP titles aside, http://EP is a milestone for the young Australian producer. Evolving with every release, the future is a very exciting thing for Just A Gent.

Just A Gent – http://EP is out now through Casablanca Records Australia and Believe Digital
