HARD Events Announces HARD Summer Music Festival 2018 Lineup
HARD Events has announced the full lineup for HARD Summer 2018 August 4 and 5 at The Speedway in Fontana. HARD Summer’s 2018 curation continues the event’s commitment to taste-making and forward thinking lineups that connect today’s biggest stars with pioneers across urban and electronic music.
Over the past eleven years, HARD Summer has provided a platform for those about to explode, offering headliner status to tomorrow’s superstars, and predicting the musical collision between electronic music and hip-hop. HARD’s given streaming stars a live platform from which to deliver, and consistently proven to be a barometer of who and what’s next in explosive live music.
This year HARD Summer welcomes electronic music’s most buzzed about stars, including chart topping mystery man Marshmello, a very special back to back set from long-time HARD talents Diplo and Dillon Francis, the newly launched Virtual Self project by Porter Robinson, trap icon Flosstradamus, multi-genre producer TOKiMONSTA, bass legends Zeds Dead b2b Jauz, super duo Kill The Snails (Kill The Noise and Snails), the explosive Mija, streaming super-stars Louis The Child, OWSLA mainstay Joyryde, Madam X’s techno and DIRTYBIRD upstart FISHER. With a nod to the scene’s forebears, HARD Summer will also host house legends Kerri Chandler and Felix Da Housecat. In true multi-hyphenate fashion Louis Vuitton’s artistic director and DJ, Virgil Abloh, will also perform.
Urban music again is at the centerstage of HARD Summer with a headlining set by Travis Scott, hip hop king Rick Ross, plus some of rap’s most relevant names like Lil Xan, Lil Skies, Trippie Redd, Saweetie, $UICIDEBOY$, and YBN Nahmir.
The Speedway in Fontana will be completely reimagined for the 2018 edition of HARD’s flagship event as the brand dreams up the perfect map for its most immersive and comfortable event yet. The brand-new redesigned stages will be moved to the spacious and cooler grass infield, shaded areas and water stations will be added throughout the venue, and getting into the venue will be improved greatly through added entry lanes. HARD Summer’s VIP experience will be enhanced as well, adding VIP dance areas at the stages as well as new summer fun themed amenities. In addition to shaded areas and multiple water stations throughout the venue, health and safety operations at HARD Summer will be overseen by Insomniac Events’ experienced medical and Ground Control teams, while logistics like parking and traffic will be overseen by Insomniac production—all with the end goal of ensuring a safe environment and a smooth experience for all attendees.
It is with its biggest lineup to date and most extensive production reach in tow that HARD Summer Music Festival moves towards its 11th year to once again treat fans to the blow out party of the year.
