Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival 2017 Does It Big on 10th Anniversary Edition

Last weekend Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival hit the street of Brooklyn, NYC marking its 10th year of forward thinking curation and innovative programming. BEMF was three days of great music, events and activations hosted at various locations throughout NYC! Being held at multiple venues maybe one of our favorite features of BEMF, integrating local venues and not stuffing the whole community into one location. Being our first year attending the event we can safely say we will be supporting the BEMF movement for years to come!

Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival kicked-off Thursday with two events featuring both DJ Marky (Good Room) & Tokimosta (House Of Yes) as headliners with a great supporting cast of Reid Speed / Kellam Matthews at Good Room and Kami / Run P. at House of Yes! As the festival continued on Friday, it was packed with 5 huge events with headliners Pete Tong, Leon Vynehall, Lustmord, PR Love and Museum of Love.

Saturday was the huge day for BEMF hosting 8 separate events throughout Brooklyn with some major headliners including Justin Martin, Bicep, Kompact, Ostgut Ton Nacht, Bambounou, Kai Alce, Heiroglyphic (video below) and more. We were most excited about Two Room Warehouse which featured Gorgon City (Kingdom) and one of our favorites of all-tim Green Velvet (Relief Records). This legendary lineup didn’t stop there, also featuring support from Tensnake, Matthew Dear, Riva Starr, Kill Frenzy, Harvard Bass and more.

The Two Room Warehouse was one of the best single venue event lineups we have seen in a while, so we were really pumped for this one. In order of our favorite sets were; Tensanke, Kill Frenzy, Riva Starr, Gorgon and the legend himself Green Velvet. GV kept the venue grooving late night playing some classics and new tracks including ‘Flash’ which just turns any dance-floor into a party!

Overall BEMF was an amazing event with some dope artists, awesome people, good vibes and the most important GREAT MUSIC! See You Next Year!
