Louis Futon Releases New Single + Video for ‘Bad Habits’ ft. NoMBe
One of electronic music’s most forward thinking artists, LA-based producer Louis Futon caused quite a stir with the announcement of his forthcoming debut album earlier this week. Now, the standout performer and charismatic creative looks to build on his considerable momentum by releasing his brand new single “Bad Habits” feat. NoMBe. Also launching today is the vibrant, co-directed music video for “Bad Habits,” a fun-filled visual collaboration between the man himself and Ryan Rash that captures the spirited vibe of the single to a T.
His newest single “Bad Habits” is a cohesive addition to previous hits like “Surreal” feat. RKCB, “Restless Sea” feat. Opia, and “Fall On Me” feat. BXRBER as tracks on the album. Throughout the course of his career and via his previous releases to date, Futon has consistently displayed his dynamic skillset by producing jaw-dropping tracks that take elements from live instruments, electronic production, and hip-hop beats to create a unique and special sound. “Bad Habits” is no different, highlighting the pristine quality fans have come to expect. It’s a silky smooth display of creative chemistry between two of music’s brightest rising stars, with Futon providing the yin to NoMBe’s yang. Futon’s prior release was one purely for the fans, a collaborative rendition of Travis Scott’s “Wake Up” in partnership with Medasin. While it won’t be part of his recently-announced debut album, Futon once again showed off his penchant for creating catchy, borderline irresistible electronic music with a soulful flair.
What began as fun twists on popular rap and hip-hop beats that he would post online, producer Louis Futon has developed a well received series of song flips accompanied by pixel cover art that showcase the range of his musical and artistic talent. Louis Futon has steadily carved out his own lane in the electronic music scene over the past two years. In that short time, his remixes and singles have garnered over sixty million streams online, with his biggest single to date “Wasted On You” being released through ODESZA’s Foreign Family Collective. Since then, Futon has set his sites beyond the confines of the electronic scene as his productions have reached into the worlds of hip-hop and r&b as well. Not only have his remixes of artists by the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Frank Ocean, Mos Def, Goldlink, G-Eazy, and Gallant found major success, but collaborations with R&B leaning artists like Opia, Ashe, and RKCB have resulted in some of his most dynamic work to date. Louis Futon’s artistic integrity and respect for individuality helps drive his unique style as he continues to grow and challenge himself with new musical ventures.
