Gerald Le Funk, Subshock & Evangelos Make New Noise Debut with ‘2BAE’ via Dim Mak
Gerald Le Funk and Subshock & Evangelos make their Dim Mak debut with refreshing, electro-bass track, “2BAE”. The energetic 4×4 tune is comprised of chunky basslines and an infectious, drop-tuned vocal.
Dutch bass house producer Gerald Le Funk made his mark quickly on the electronic music scene. With less than a handful of releases under his name, including a remix of JAUZ’s “Claim to Be” (released on Jauz’s imprint Bite This!) and numerous records on KLASH/Armada and LYD/Future House Music, Gerald has gained support from the likes of Hardwell, Borgore, and Tchami. Beyond the studio, Gerald has toured Holland, the UK, and Asia, taking his keen ear for groovy and euphoric bass house productions around the world.
Spanish producer duo Subshock & Evangelos are good friends who create tracks that span a wide range of styles, yet maintain a signature sound. After catching the attention of veteran Laidback Luke, who signed them to his label Mixmash Records, the labelhead tapped the prodigious duo to play select events during Miami Music Week and Amsterdam Dance Event. Coupled with releases on Parlophone and Warner Music, they have enjoyed a long list of support that includes Afrojack, Tiësto, R3hab, Knife Party, Bingo Players, and Tommy Trash, among others.
New Noise is Dim Mak’s new music discovery imprint that focuses on cutting edge sounds from burgeoning artists across the genre spectrum. New Noise originally got its start as a compilation series highlighting fresh faces handpicked by Steve Aoki and the Dim Mak crew. Since then, the platform has evolved into a bi-weekly, free-download model based on singles. New Noise’s current incarnation is also copyright free, which allows the budding community of Twitch gamers and amateur YouTube creators to use New Noise music in their videos and live streams without the need to purchase or pay fees, all in exchange for linking back to the artists and their music.
